So I visited a coffee shop based in Redditch called The Steamhouse Bakery. The coffee doesn’t disappoint here.
I was a bit nervous going in there and being the only customer at 9am. The coffee shop is huge and usually fills up in the afternoons. Usually, moms with their kids get together to chat with friends and have coffee (not that it’s exclusive to moms with kids).
They do amazing doughnuts and bagels here, and the coffee is on point. I was absolutely spoilt for choice, not only for the selection of doughnuts in the morning, but also for where to sit. I was going to have an anxiety attack just by not being able to pick a seat. Wondering around, self-conscious of being judged for my choice of seating as a single person in a coffee shop. I didn’t know whether to have a big table to myself with a good angle or a small table suited to fewer people with a less favourable view.
The coffee was delivered with a pleasant smile, although I was slightly nervous that I’d picked the right table.
Well, I spent some time on my phone writing to ChatGPT and seeing how I can develop this blog. I’ve never done something quite like this, but I’ll figure it out as I go along. Just a documentation of what I was thinking in the coffee shop. All I can think about is work, really. And by work, I mean this blog idea. Pretty sad, but this is my primary focus at the moment. They say you should focus on one thing at a time, and by that, I mean famous rich people who write books about it. Which I’m terrible at, but that’s for another time.
Unfortunately, no waffles were served here.
I began thinking about holiday plans for somewhere nice and warm, especially when it gets cold here. First, I need to save some money. Times are tough at the moment, and you never know what might happen. Choosing to go on holiday and paying for my car’s fuel are some of the first-world problems we face right now, especially when you’re on a tight budget. Oh well, we shall see. Maybe I’ll win the lottery someday. Just kidding. There I am dreaming again.
