It’s a chilled-out vibe here at 9:30am. Nice comfortable couches, feel relaxed. Open area situated in Birmingham, UK. One may think they are in Los Angeles, but without the climate or palm trees. The building and interior have a modern look.
Birmingham is the second largest city in the UK. There’s a variety of cultures here, and if you like multiculturalism, this is the next best place after Manchester or London. A lot of money has been invested in developing this city. Lots of nicer roads (though you notice them more in some places than others); still plenty of potholes, and don’t get me started on that. Lots of nice restaurants and shops in the Bullring and the train station. I ordered a flat white and milk cake, which were absolutely divine. I think the standard here is quite high. I once drove past this place later in the day, and it was absolutely packed full of people.
While I was sitting, enjoying my coffee and scrolling through my phone, some guy shouted out to his friend, something like, “Nice to see you.” However, he wasn’t his friend and quickly apologised, saying I thought you were someone else. It was kind of funny, but it made me think about how his friend managed to look like someone he knew. A doppleganger. Have you ever been shown a picture by someone who says, “You look just like this person”, only to be offended or flattered? It’s a fine line one must walk before blurting that out to someone.

Anyway, I began to look at my trainers while I was in this fine establishment and noticed that there were green grass stains from when I was cutting the grass the other day that I’d forgotten to clean before going out. I also had a few unnoticed drips of coffee stains on my hoodie.
My phone is quite old now, and the battery life goes quickly when I use it a lot. And the storage on my phone is completely jammed up. These apps do take up a lot of space…
I’m rambling, so Loaf n Latte, especially the time I came in the morning, is ideal for reading or doing remote work. There were many people with laptops here. The seats are comfortable, and there is plenty of space. There are lots of large windows, so plenty of light comes through, really brightening up the shop. Just don’t forget to add your car registration to their system after you’ve parked and come into the store.
